Healthy Holiday: don’t skip your meals! 

Did you know the average American gains a total of 2 pounds during the holiday season?? 
This sure doesn’t seem like much but research does show that these pounds tend to stick around and add up through out the years. 

But you don’t have to gain the pounds if you’re mindful of what you’re eating. 

Tip: don’t skip meals before a holiday party. This can lead to over eating! Instead make sure you have a really good breakfast, this can help you consume less calories through out the day. 

Have small meals to keep you satisfied during the day. If you get to thanksgiving dinner starving, there’s a higher chance you’ll over eat! 

Try to include lots of high fiber foods like fruits and veggies to help you stay satisfied during the day. 

And remember holidays are meant to be spent with our families, enjoying the company and also the food. But food doesn’t have to be the main focus. Mingle, walk around and enjoy your time!
